Definition
An Application Model is a purpose-specific Model describing how an application realizes Use Cases through participants, Roles, responsibilities, Collaborations, Interactions, state transitions, Events, Services, Operations, and Outcomes.
SimpleModeling
A SimpleModeling Model is composed of Object, Knowledge, and Literate Models. An Application Model is not a fourth constituent; it is an applied Model that selects and organizes the required Model Elements from the three constituents for the Purpose and Concerns of Use Case realization.
An Application Model emphasizes dynamic aspects, but it neither restricts the Domain Model to static elements nor owns every dynamic element. It is constructed in correspondence with the Domain Model, which emphasizes problem-domain meaning, structure, rules, and boundaries.
